Research have shown that "you can't really be friends with more than 50 people at once, said David Morin. Robin Dunbar added that our brains can't manage a social network that's larger than 150 people. That's why an app-based social network called "Path" by Morin was created which limits its user to 50 friends of less.
The site focuses on close friends and family thereby developing more intimate relationships with people closest to our lives. Path is different from that of the Goliath social networks and its a photo sharing app. This is the kind of app where you can complain about being sick or post about struggles at work, Morin said. You can really truly be yourself, unlike on the larger networks, where users may feel self-conscious about being who they really are, he said.
